During the winter months, while we try to be warm and cozy our homes, we are also a host of pollutants within the same limits.
Indoor plants can remove up to 87% of pollutants from our homes. We need this especially during the winter months. Adding a few plants not only makes breathing easier, but adds beauty to our homes. English Ivy, Gerbera Daisies, Philodendrons or Sweet Potato Vine, all work great as a filter to your home is to clean air.
All plants need water, either from the moisture in the air or other water source. House plants need to be kept moist, but not wet, at all times. You can do this by. Their pot in a shallow container with small pebbles, then? Do addition of water, nearly the pebbles? Watering the plants in this way ensures the plants get enough water and helps keep the humidity in the proper range to maintain a healthy plant.
To help keep these plants healthy during the cold months, here are a few good tips.
[1] With melted snow pouring your plants in winter. Tap water was treated to make it available for the human, but not so much for plants. Add snow water nutrients your plants can not get from tap water. Let the water come to room temperature before you, not to shock your plants.
[2] The water that you use to hard boil eggs is another good way to add more nutrients in the soil of your plants. Add the water without the shells or use the blender to crush the shells and add this mixture to the planting soil.
[3] Instead, the distribution of plants all over the room, choose a place to group them. You will work more efficiently when placed in this way. Keep the proper temperature and humidity for your plants to help ensure that the plants work to the best of their abilities.
When traveling, you may want your plants in a tub, which has about 2 inches of water in it place. Just make sure the room has plenty of indirect sunlight, so that the plants do not go dormant.
I've used this method several times while I was on vacation.
